Volunteers hold the Health Camp for Children banner at the start of a camp in 2020

Get Involved

Partner with us

We are small, local and registered, which makes us easy to check and easy to work with. Here is what a partnership with us actually looks like.

Our first project was inaugurated in cooperation with Ek Ronga Ek Ghuri, a development organization registered under the Government of Bangladesh and recognized nationally and internationally. That partnership set the pattern: a partner who brings something specific, an agreement on who does what, and a written report at the end.

Three kinds of partnership

Corporate and CSR

Fund a clinic day, a mobile camp, a Ramadan distribution or a computer training batch. You receive a written account of exactly what your money delivered, with the patient or household numbers. Employee volunteering days can be arranged around a distribution.

Institutional

Schools, madrasas, hospitals, colleges and universities. Host a blood donation campaign, lend a classroom or compound for a camp, or send medical students and staff to a camp day.

Diaspora

Bangladeshis abroad who want to support their own district. A group can commit to a program for a year, raise for an emergency appeal, or set up a regular collection. International transfers reach us through SWIFT BRAKBDDH.

How it works

  1. 1. Tell us what you have

Money, medicines, equipment, a venue, staff time or a network of people. We will tell you honestly whether we can use it well.

  2. 2. Agree the scope in writing

What will be delivered, where, when, by whom and at what cost. Nothing starts before the budget is agreed.

  3. 3. Deliver together

Your people and ours, with a named person responsible on each side, and the local administration informed.

  4. 4. Get the report

Numbers, photographs with permission, expenditure against budget, and an honest account of what did not go to plan.

What a partner receives

A written account of what your money or your goods delivered: the number of patients seen or households reached, the venue and date, the expenditure against the agreed budget, and an honest note on anything that did not go to plan. Photographs where the people in them have agreed to be photographed.

A named contact in the organization who is answerable to you for the work, and an open invitation to visit. The clinic runs every Friday morning and we would rather a partner came and looked than took our word for anything.

What we will not do

We will not put a partner's logo on a program without a written agreement, and we take it down when the partnership ends. We will not describe a partner as an endorser of the organization as a whole on the strength of a single funded activity.

We will not accept a gift that comes with conditions we cannot meet, or from a source we cannot identify. We will not run a distribution as a photo opportunity, which means no branded handovers staged for a camera and no queue asked to wait while a visitor is photographed.

And we will not take on work we do not have the staff to do properly. If a proposal is bigger than we are, we will say so rather than accept the money and manage the disappointment later.

Use of your logo

We display a partner's logo only with written permission, and we remove it as soon as a partnership ends. We will never imply an endorsement you have not given.

See the work before you commit

The clinic is open every Friday morning and visitors are welcome.
