Every taka goes to the clinic, the relief parcels and the classrooms in Nabinagar. We are registered, we publish our bank details in full, and we report back to every donor.
Choose an amount or enter your own. Monthly giving is what keeps the Friday clinic stocked between appeals. Payments are processed securely by GiveWP and amounts are in Bangladeshi taka.
Payments are processed by GiveWP. AKWO never sees or stores your card details.
We publish the one price the organization has set in writing, the ৳650 Ramadan Iftar package, and we are working out the rest from actual purchase records rather than estimating them. Until the trustees confirm the figures, the descriptions below are qualitative.

You receive a receipt by email from GiveWP. Gifts are recorded against the program you chose, or against general funds if you did not choose one. Every donor to a specific activity receives a written account of that activity. We do not sell, rent or share donor details with anyone.
Yes. Card donations generate an emailed receipt automatically as soon as the payment clears. For a bank transfer or a mobile money payment we issue the receipt once we have matched your payment against our statement, which is why we ask you to send us the date, amount and reference. If a receipt has not reached you, write to support@abulkhairwelfare.org with those details and we will send it again.
Yes, and it is the most useful way to support us. The Friday clinic runs every week whether or not an appeal is running, and monthly gifts are what keep the medicine cupboard stocked between appeals. From the donor dashboard on this website at any time, with no notice period and no explanation required. If the dashboard does not work for you, email contact@abulkhairwelfare.org or call +88 01768 003 747 and we will make the change for you. Cancelling stops all future payments immediately.
Many supporters do, and we distribute it through the food, relief and livelihood programs. Because the eligibility of each program under Zakat rules is a religious question rather than an administrative one, we are having the wording checked before we publish it: approved wording on Zakat eligibility and which AKWO programs qualify
The tax treatment of donations to Abul Khair Welfare Organization is being confirmed with our accountants, and we will not state anything on this until it is verified: tax treatment of donations, in Bangladesh and for donors abroad
Sometimes, and it is worth asking first. We can use medicines that are in date and correctly stored, staple food in sealed packaging, blankets, and equipment the clinic or the training center actually needs. We cannot accept medicines close to expiry, opened packaging or equipment we have nowhere to store. Contact us before sending anything so that we can tell you whether it will be used.
Volunteering on a Friday, hosting a blood drive or telling a colleague about the clinic all help.
