Construction has begun on the Abul Khair Academic Building, the first stage of the Abul Khair Polytechnic Institute, which will teach welding, plumbing, electrical work, garment sewing and refrigeration free of charge.

The Abul Khair Welfare Organization has embarked on a transformative mission with the construction of the Abul Khair Academic Building, a key component of the Abul Khair Polytechnic Institute. This ambitious project is designed to equip the youth of the region with critical technical skills, setting them on a path towards self-reliance and financial independence.

Empowering youth through technical education

At the heart of this initiative is Marshall Hussain, the founder of Abul Khair Welfare Organization. His dream is simple but powerful: to empower local youth with the skills needed to succeed in today's competitive global landscape. By mastering trades such as welding, plumbing and electrical work, these young individuals will not only gain confidence but also the tools to carve out a stable and prosperous future.

A new gateway to opportunity

The Abul Khair Polytechnic Institute aims to be more than just a school. It is a source of opportunity in a remote, rural area where access to quality education is limited. Offering free training in technical fields, this center will provide students with the knowledge and expertise to thrive both locally and abroad. The construction of the Abul Khair Academic Building is the first step in making this dream a reality.

Shaping the workforce of tomorrow

With a large portion of Bangladesh's economy dependent on remittances from overseas workers, it is more critical than ever to ensure that the workforce is equipped with specialized skills. Skilled workers are in high demand globally, and this project will help shift the narrative from exporting unskilled labor to sending out a competent, highly trained population.

The institute's goal is to fill this gap, offering young men and women the training they need to become sought-after professionals worldwide. By doing so it hopes to contribute not just to personal growth but to the nation's economic development as a whole.

What will be taught

The building is planned around four trades, each chosen because it is in demand and because nobody teaches it within reach of these villages: welding and plumbing, electrical and mechanical work, garment sewing, and air conditioning and refrigeration. All of it will be free, in keeping with the organization's rule that its programs cost the user nothing.

A seed of hope

For the youth of this region, the Abul Khair Academic Building represents a new beginning: an opportunity to learn, grow and ultimately succeed. It is the seed of a new dream, one that promises a future full of hope, opportunity and self-sufficiency.

As construction progresses we look forward to seeing how this academic building will shape the future of the region, creating lasting change for generations to come. We will publish updates here as each stage is completed.
